Les transducteurs à ultrasons sont également appelés vibrateurs à ultrasons, qui convertissent l'énergie électrique ou magnétique produite par le générateur d'ultrasons en vibrations mécaniques de même fréquence. Il existe actuellement deux transducteurs utilisés dans les machines de soudage par ultrasons. Le premier est un transducteur magnétostrictif. Le deuxième type est un transducteur céramique piézoélectrique. Le premier type a une faible efficacité, des performances à faible coût et nécessite un champ magnétique de polarisation CC externe, de sorte que les machines de soudage par ultrasons sont rarement utilisées à l'heure actuelle.
